IC Bordeaux is a small home base show kennel located in the heart of Detroit, MI. We are passionate and dedicated to raising quality Dogue De Bordeaux. Our passion for the breed began in 1999, with our first Dogue De Bordeaux, Kash which was given to us by a friend who could no longer take care of him, from him that love grew into a burning passion. That passion for the breed propelled us do extensive research of the top quality pedigree and being mentored by top breeders to ensure that the standard of the breed stays together.


In 2003, we purchased our first Dogue de Bordeaux, Cha Cha from a local breeder here in Detroit. In 2006, after talking to top breeders, we produced our first litter. In 2007, we produced our first champion out of our first litter. This is just a start of what you can expect from us. BREED FACTS

The Dogue de Bordeaux is one of the most ancient French breeds. He is a typical brachycephalic molossoid type. He is a very powerful dog, with a very muscular body yet retaining a harmonious general outline. Built rather close to the ground, the distance from the deepest point of the chest to the ground is slightly less than the depth of the chest. A massive head with proper proportions and features is an important characteristic of the breed. His serious expression, stocky and athletic build, and self assurance make him very imposing. Bitches have identical characteristics, but less prominent.
